I think fake organic is the worst. It's hard enough to buy local produce and eat healthy. Now, we have to worry about food companies and grocers lying to us. What's next??!!
Talk to you next week, from back home in Kansas - finally!!
The main thing I observed was the quiet awe showed by the crowd to these masters of their craft. It was very interesting to be at the gig and have no idea what to expect musically, yet still be confident they were going to be fantastic. And they were. The sound quality on my video is rubbish, but you can see the crowd just standing still - fixated on the stage - basically motionless in enjoyment. It was the opening song. The guys strolled on stage, waved a few times, then unleashed this beast known as "Elephants". The heavy change right at the beginning, the dazzling lights, Dave Grohl smashing the drums, it was a brilliant opener that let you know what was coming - and almost made you a bit scared of how amazing it was to be!
If and when they ever drop an album, it will be massive - and so will the preceding hype.
Is Austin City Limits the best festival out there? I've never been, but I think it must be. Check out Eddie Vedder rocking with Kings Of Leon (this is one of my top 3 fave KoL songs):

Check out this article about Google Wave. Looks... confusing... but cool... and complex... not sure how to use it... but it's neat... and complicated...
First impression = blah. It seems to be incredibly difficult to get used to using the virtual joystick. My finger constantly wants to creep too far away from the little circle it has to stay in to control the player. The game play is based largely around pressing a super slo-mo button, and then accessing moves such as juke, spin, power run, jump/swat, etc. I suppose this could be OK with practice but seems rather clumsy right now. Throwing passes feels very random, but again, with practice maybe it will make sense. Defense is almost silly. I feel like I should just call the defense and then not touch anything and hope for the best. Like a simulation, not an arcade game. But again - practice, practice, practice and maybe some fun will come. At this point, I'm doubtful. I wasn't expecting much so it's hard to be disappointed - but I am.
I doubt I'll rush out and buy any of the remasters. But they seem awfully cool...
Next week, I'll be talking to you from sunny Florida!!
Maybe possibly perhaps you can find some clarity here - if not, be sure to watch President Obama's address to Congress next week and become even more confused...
My vinyl copy of "Dark Side Of The Moon" arrived today. Check the two original posters and two original stickers, all in excellent shape. I'm totally geeked out by this LP.
The infamous prism cover - watch as the rainbow lines cut through the middle of the gate fold...
then they add the heartbeat, the sound of which opens and closes the album. The rainbow bars continue on to the back...
then enter a reverse prism and combine back to the single line that...
carries on to the front. Stunning design by Hipgnosis.
They just don't make this kind of stuff any more. Get yourself a turntable and start really enjoying music again!!
Just to aggravate DLC, I shall post the following:

Clearly I had a better draft for my second league, stellar receiving group on that team. Best of luck to me and the other fantasy geeks out there! May your points be high and your frustration level low.
OK so I am not going to post the results of my mock fantasy fake pretend draft to practice for my real fake fantasy pretend draft. Though I was tempted...
Check out some more cool news about the cleverly named Dave Matthews Band:

More info on Def Jam Rapstar here. This looks like it could be a BIG hit. If you watch the video clip in the middle, you get to see two 30something white dudes rap to "Hypnotize". Nuthin' wrong with that either!
I think the Timay will definitely be first in line for this game...
These guys are awesome. I haven't hyped The Mighty Boosh in a while, but I found this video clip of an interview with them and it is great. It appears they are on American TV now (Adultswim?) and are doing some live shows around the bigger cities. If you dig this clip, definitely get into the show, it's an intoxicating dream drink and you'll love every drop.
Check the article here. Fans gathered to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the infamous road crossing photo on the "Abbey Road" LP. Stuff like that never happens in Kansas.
